Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Overtur (“Overtur“, “we“, “us“, or “our“) is committed to protecting the privacy of every person who interacts with us — whether you visit our website, request a journey, or engage our services. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it.

We designed this policy to be read, not skimmed. If any part is unclear, or if you’d prefer a summary tailored to your circumstances, please contact us at contact@overtur.world.

1. Who we are

Overtur is a luxury destination management brand and an affiliate of Curated Group S.A.R.L., registered in Lebanon under Commercial Register No. 2082827 and VAT No. 4143040.

For the purposes of applicable data protection laws — including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — Overtur acts as the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in the course of arranging your journey.

2. What information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

When you complete our journey planning form, contact us by email, or engage us to arrange travel, you may share:

  • Contact details: name, email address, telephone number.
  • Travel preferences: destinations of interest, dates and duration, group composition, accommodation preferences, dietary requirements, budget range, and any additional requests you choose to share.
  • Consent record: the exact wording of the consent you accepted, together with the date and time you provided it.
  • Any information you volunteer in correspondence, calls, or meetings.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our servers and analytics tools may automatically record:

  • Technical information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, and pages viewed.
  • Interaction data: the pages you visit on our site, features you engage with, and the general timing of your visits.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small text files stored on your device to enable core site functionality and to remember your preferences (see Section 6).

2.3 Information from third parties

We may occasionally receive information about you from partners, referring agencies, or public sources where you have consented, or where such disclosure is permitted by law — for example, when a hotel confirms a reservation we have arranged on your behalf.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information only for purposes that are legitimate, transparent, and consistent with the trust you place in us. Specifically:

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal for the journey you have requested.
  • To design, book, and coordinate your travel — including making reservations with hotels, airlines, yacht charters, guides, restaurants, and other service providers on your behalf.
  • To provide ongoing concierge and support services before, during, and after your journey.
  • To communicate with you about your enquiry, your itinerary, changes, and matters relevant to your travel.
  • To improve our services and website, including analysing anonymised usage patterns.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and record-keeping duties.
  • To protect our lawful interests, our website, and the safety of our clients and staff.

We do not use your personal information to send unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell your information to third parties.

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal grounds to process your personal information:

Purpose Legal basis
Responding to your enquiry and providing a proposal Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and steps necessary prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Arranging and delivering your journey Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Sharing your details with hotels, airlines, and other suppliers you have engaged Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Meeting legal, tax, and accounting obligations Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))
Protecting our website, systems, and clients from misuse Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))
Improving our services through anonymised analytics Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))

You may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing conducted before withdrawal, by writing to us at contact@overtur.world.

5. Sharing your information

The nature of destination management requires us to share limited, relevant information with the third parties who deliver your journey. We share only what is necessary, only with providers you have agreed to engage, and always with an expectation of confidentiality equivalent to our own.

Categories of recipients include:

  • Travel and hospitality suppliers: hotels, private residences, airlines, yacht and jet charters, restaurants, guides, chauffeurs, wellness practitioners, event organisers, and other providers required to fulfil your itinerary.
  • Trusted service providers: cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), email services (Google Workspace), payment processors, professional advisers (legal, accounting), and website maintenance partners — each bound by contract to protect your data.
  • Regulators, courts, or authorities: where required by applicable law, court order, or valid legal request.
  • Affiliates within the Curated Group where necessary to provide the services you have requested.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any party for marketing purposes.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to function correctly and to understand how visitors use the site. Broadly, these fall into three categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: enable core functions such as security and page navigation. The website will not function properly without these.
  • Preference cookies: remember choices you make (such as an accepted consent banner).
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand aggregate patterns of how the site is used, so we can improve it. These do not identify you personally.

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working as intended.

7. International transfers

Overtur operates internationally, and the delivery of your journey may require your information to be transferred to, or stored in, jurisdictions outside your country of residence — including within the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon.

Where personal data of individuals in the EEA or UK is transferred outside those regions to a country not deemed to provide an adequate level of protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms, and we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected to the standards required by applicable law.

8. How long we keep your information

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including:

  • For the duration of our engagement with you and, thereafter, for the period necessary to respond to follow-up requests or to maintain historical records of the travel we have arranged for you.
  • For as long as required by applicable tax, accounting, and legal obligations (typically up to ten years for financial records under Lebanese law).
  • For submitted enquiries that do not proceed to a booking, generally for a period of up to twenty-four months from the date of submission, after which the record is deleted unless you request earlier deletion or ask us to retain it.

We periodically review our records and delete information that is no longer required.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction — and particularly if you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with comparable data protection laws — you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

  • The right to be informed about how we collect and use your information (which this policy fulfils).
  • The right of access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • The right to erasure of your personal information (“the right to be forgotten”), in specific circumstances.
  • The right to restrict processing of your personal information, in specific circumstances.
  • The right to data portability — to receive a copy of your information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • The right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for example, in the EU, your national data protection authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@overtur.world. We will respond within one month of receipt, in accordance with GDPR. There is no fee for exercising your rights, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

10. Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Our website is served exclusively over encrypted TLS connections. Access to systems containing personal data is restricted, logged, and protected by multi-factor authentication where available. We maintain backups, and we work only with hosting and email providers with strong security postures (currently Amazon Web Services and Google Workspace).

Despite these measures, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is entirely secure. If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and, where required, the competent supervisory authority in accordance with applicable law.

11. Children’s privacy

Overtur’s services are intended for adult clients. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly. Where a child is included as a traveller within a family booking, we collect only the information necessary to arrange that travel, and we treat it with the same care as adult data.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to bring the update to your attention — for example, by email or by a notice on our website.

We encourage you to review this page periodically.
